Dear Prospective Parents:
Thank you for your interest in Latham Christian Academy. We are pleased that you are considering LCA for the educational needs of your family. This pamphlet has been developed to give you a brief overview of our school. Please take the time to carefully consider all the information listed in it.
Please know that LCA is not a reform school. We are not just a haven from the influences of the world or public schools. LCA is distinctively and specifically a Christian school. We emphasize and teach that each person needs to accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior, be active and regularly attend a sound, Bible-believing church, and live a God-centered lifestyle. Christian education can only really be effective in the life of a Christian.
Academically, we expect and demand much from our students. We strive to challenge them to excel and expect them to work hard. We use and are committed to Christian textbooks so that the philosophy of our textbooks and our classrooms will agree.
We have grades from a three-year old pre-kindergarten through twelfth. Most of our curriculum comes from A Beka Publications (a division of Pensacola Christian College), Bob Jones Press (a division of Bob Jones University), and Alpha-Omega Publications. All three of these are excellent Christian textbook publishers with a proven track record of helping teachers produce strong academics in their classrooms.
If, after considering this information, you feel the Lord leading you to consider LCA for your family, please complete the application and contact the school for an interview.
On behalf of the faculty and staff of Latham Christian Academy, we will be praying that the Lord will lead you to the school where He would have your family become an active part. If we can answer any questions, please feel to contact the school office. May the Lord bless you and your family.
In Christ,
LCA Admissions Team
